Visits

We are based for several months of the year in Unawatuna, a wonderful beach resort in the south-western corner of Sri Lanka and only a few kilometres from the historic town of Galle. Sister Alex is willing to facilitate visits to the local orphanage, the tea-plantations, the creche in Colombo and many other worthy causes.

All transport and accommodation can be arranged at reasonable cost, with full meet-and-greet service.

Typical costs are around 30 pounds a day for a/c van with driver, including petrol and any driver's costs. Possible tours could include the hill country, Kandy, Anuradhurpura and the elephant orphanage sanctuary.

Local attractions include turtle sanctuaries, spice gardens, the World Heritage-listed Galle Fort and local shopping

Accommodation of a good standard with air-conditioning can be arranged from 15 pounds per night upwards. There is also very reasonable accommodation from 5 pounds a night, depending on requirements. For full details please contact this site.
